While it is better to give than to receive, this time I would be happy if no one actually gave me anything! When I was on the metro this week, I remember one guy coughing quite a bit behind me. Now I have a sore throat, coughing, and feeling more than a little sick. I felt worse when I woke up than I do now, but that seems to be the norm when I get a cold: I have to get what’s been built up over night out of my system in the morning.
Hopefully this one cold will list only a day or two — but with my luck, it will last a week or longer.
Earlier this morning, I tried to decide if I should go to Divine Liturgy or not. I had to go out and get some cold medicine, and so I decided I should. Yet, when I was out, I noticed this is not just a cold; I am feeling the aches and pains, the chills of the flu. I made it through Divine Liturgy, but since I had to take and use cough drops, I decided it would be best not to take communion today. I made it through church; now I can rest.
