For the past day, we have been having off and on rain — some of it is heavy, some of it is light, and sometimes, with thunder. We have had two tornadoes which touched down in the area, one upon a school, lifting the roof and flooding it inside. We won’t be getting any relief from the rain today: it’s due to stay here all day long.
This is a mixed blessing. The rain is keeping it cooler outside, and I can use them to cool off the air inside my apartment; but when it gets too rough, I have to close my windows to make sure the rain doesn’t get inside my place.
Although it was cooling off outside, it’s still quite warm inside my place, and so it was difficult to get to sleep. Once I did, I slept fairly well — for myself, at least. I think I had enough last night, especially after falling asleep in the middle of the day while watching television.
